Far from offering the hope of deliverance, He is sent by God to serve an indictment on His rebellious people in the form of a triple accusation. First, they are charged with ingratitude as God recounts all that He has done for them in delivering them from Egypt and giving them the land. They have effectively thrown His gracious provision back in His face.
